St. John's College, Marlborough for ISG Pearce
| For St John's School in Marlborough, Structural Systems provided a site team of engineers and steel erectors & a fully co-ordinated SFS package from initial design to completion on site. The overall project for ISG Pearce included the construction of five blocks interlinked with walkways, a new entrance road and coach park, the re-profiling of the existing playing fields to a Sport England standard and the supply of temporary classrooms for the duration of the project. |
The external envelope is a mixture of steel cladding, insulated render and timber weather boarding on a frame system incorporating composite windows and curtain walling. The project used 77.1 tonne of steel, a total of 17,500 metres of cee section, together with all support bracketry and necessary hot rolled steel fabricated in Structural Systems Ltd works. |
